Careers at Proofline

Proofline reviews code changes against the infrastructure they will deploy into. We are hiring our founding team to build the product alongside our founder, Mohsen Azimi (previously Staff Engineer at Airbnb, and engineer at Google, Lyft, and ElevenLabs), and bring Proofline into the daily work of engineering teams.

You must be able to travel to Berlin for work. We do not offer visa sponsorship.

Why work here

A technical problem with depth

Understand how a code change will interact with the infrastructure it reaches. The work connects cloud systems, code analysis, and evidence about production. You will work through problems in permissions, resource limits, networking, deployment behavior, and the explanations engineers need to act.

Work with frontier AI

Build with current models, coding agents, and evaluation methods as they develop. Apply them to concrete engineering problems: gathering useful context, investigating a failure, and supporting a finding with recorded evidence. You will help decide which capabilities belong in the product and how to evaluate them.

AI is part of how we work

We use AI to multiply our output, and we expect you to do the same. Delegate implementation and research to agents, run several agents in parallel, and choose the tools that help you move fast. You own the quality and outcome of what you deliver.

Autonomy over your work

Direction starts with high-level company goals. You choose your priorities, technical approaches, tools, and how to achieve those goals. As a founding hire, you have the room to identify a problem, decide what matters, and carry the work through to a result.

Remote first, with your own working hours

We hire globally. Choose your working hours and work remotely, with overlap in the Berlin time zone preferred and full access to our Berlin office. Because we meet regularly in Berlin for working sessions and do not offer visa sponsorship, you must hold work authorization in your country of residence and have visa-free (or self-sponsored) travel access to the Schengen Area.

Tools, equity, and time together

  • Competitive localized pay and founding equity. Compensation is set competitively for your location, paired with meaningful founding-team equity. We share the specific salary and equity ranges for your location before the first interview.
  • Nearly unlimited AI coding and work credits. We keep frontier model and agent credits available so you never have to stop working or ration tokens because a tool's balance runs out.
  • A brand-new MacBook Pro. Start with a new machine configured for your work.
  • $1,000 a year for your home office. Equip and improve the workspace you use every day.
  • Fully paid quarterly offsites. Meet the team every quarter in a vacation destination, with travel and accommodation covered, in addition to working sessions in Berlin.
  • Generous paid leave. We offer leave allowances on par with top-tier tech employers such as Airbnb and Stripe, tailored to the statutory and market standards of the country where you work.

Consideration starts with a pull request

Instead of traditional resume screens, every inbound application starts with a meaningful pull request that adds a new feature to one of Proofline's open source repositories (our CLI, Python SDK, TypeScript SDK, or Chrome extension).

Because we use AI coding agents heavily in our daily workflow, shipping a focused, well-tested feature PR should take around 30 to 60 minutes. It is the fastest way for both of us to see how you use modern tools, understand a developer product, and ship working code.

Open your pull request ready for review, then email its link to careers@proofline.sh with the role you are interested in and a brief note on your background. The PR does not need to be merged before you reach out. Documentation-only changes do not qualify. (If we reached out to you directly, simply reply to our message.)
