The most complete BYOK code review platform

Proofline runs AI code review on your own model provider key, with your choice of model for each review stage. The Free plan costs $0 per seat, and your provider bills inference.

Use any major provider or a compatible endpoint

Add a key under Organization → AI Model Providers. Proofline accepts keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, the Google Gemini API, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You can also stay on the models Proofline hosts.

With your own key, model requests go to your provider account, and your agreement with that provider covers the code and evidence they carry.

Pick a model for each stage

A review has two model stages. The first writes failure hypotheses about the change, and the second investigates them against the code and the environment evidence.

Pull request reviews and deployment reviews each get their own choice of models. OpenAI models also take a reasoning effort setting.

Any repository can override these choices. A payments service, for example, can use a larger proof model while other repositories keep the organization default. See how to choose review models.

Keys stay write-only

Proofline encrypts each key with AES-256-GCM and binds it to your organization and provider. After you save a key, the console shows only a short hint of it.

Each time someone adds, replaces, or removes a key, the organization's audit log records it. Keys belong to the organization. A repository can override the model but not the key.

Choosing a model never widens what a review can reach. The reviewer works through typed tools, and Proofline checks repository and environment access outside the model, as security and data access describes.

How billing works with your own key

The Free plan is built for BYOK. It costs $0 per seat, and your model provider bills inference directly to your account.

Paid plans add included credits and the models Proofline hosts. See the pricing page.

Questions

What does BYOK mean for code review?

Bring your own key (BYOK) means the review runs on your model provider account. You add your own API key, and model requests go to that provider instead of to the models Proofline hosts.

Which model providers does Proofline support for BYOK?

Proofline accepts keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, the Google Gemini API, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You can also keep the models Proofline hosts.

Does a BYOK review cost less?

Yes. The Free plan is built for BYOK and costs $0 per seat. Your model provider bills inference directly to your own account.

Can each repository use a different review model?

Yes. The organization sets a default model for each review stage, and any repository can override it.
