Graphite adds AI feedback to its review workflow
Graphite Agent reviews pull requests for potential bugs and suggests fixes. Teams can configure review standards and inspect feedback through Graphite’s review tooling.
If your team already manages review work in Graphite, evaluate the feedback where that work happens. Check whether a finding helps the next reviewer understand the change and decide what to investigate.
Graphite and Proofline side by side
Documented workflows and the evidence to inspect. Custom tools and configuration can change what a review can access.
Scroll the table horizontally to compare both products.
| Compare | Graphite | Proofline |
|---|---|---|
| Review workflow | Automated pull request feedback and configurable review standards. | GitHub review findings plus an assessment of the selected infrastructure environment. |
| Change boundaries | Inspect which pull request revision each review covers. | The assessment records an exact code input; later edits require their own assessment. |
| Deployment assumptions | Check how review context establishes the release sequence. | Inspect recorded workflow and resource evidence supporting the deployment consequence. |
How Proofline investigates changes explains its code and environment inputs. Check connector coverage before assuming that an assessment can observe a resource.
Two reviewed changes deploy in a different order
Imagine one pull request adds an optional database column and a second starts writing it. Each change is reviewed, but the application deployment runs before the migration.
The dependency between the changes matters at release time. A reviewer needs evidence for the deployment steps and their ordering before claiming that the new application will encounter a missing column.
This illustrative case tests the boundary between reviewing changes and assessing their rollout. Use the same code inputs for both products and document how the release sequence was supplied. A pull request’s place in a review queue does not establish deployment order.
Evaluate feedback in the release process you use
Choose Graphite Agent when it improves the pull request workflow your team already uses. Add Proofline when reviewers need to investigate the interaction between those changes and a particular deployment environment.
For related changes, ask exactly which combination of code and environment the result covers. Do not treat separate clean reviews as evidence that every possible release order will work.
Questions about Graphite and Proofline
Does this page compare all of Graphite?
It compares Graphite Agent’s documented AI review behavior. The surrounding review platform may be a separate reason your team uses Graphite.
Can a review of one revision cover later changes?
Only evidence applicable to the assessed code input supports that assessment. A changed revision or deployment assumption needs a new evaluation.
Try a change from your own repository
Connect a GitHub repository and its deployment environment, then inspect the evidence behind the findings. Missing evidence stays visible; a review without findings does not establish deployment success.
