Cloud SQL
Bring the database instance’s engine, backup configuration, and replication settings into a deployment review.
Inspect the configured database instance
Proofline reads selected Cloud SQL instances in one project and region. It records the engine and version, lifecycle state, replication topology by name, tier, availability type, and storage settings.
The source also includes backup and point-in-time recovery configuration, database flags, network attachment, and the maintenance window.
Review assumptions about the database
Suppose a migration introduces syntax that requires a newer database version. The instance’s reported engine and version give the reviewer a specific configuration to compare with that requirement. Backup and recovery settings provide context for planning the rollout.
Collection does not read database contents, users, passwords, or certificates. A RUNNABLE provider status is an instance lifecycle state, not evidence that the engine accepts a connection.
Connect the Google Cloud source
Choose the environment, project, and resources in the Google Cloud connection form. Review and apply its setup script, then verify the connection before using its evidence in a review.
