Compute Engine

Inspect the VM configuration behind a deployment, from its boot image to its network attachment.

Read selected instances and boot disks

Proofline reads the configured instances in one project and zone, along with their boot disks. Records include lifecycle status, machine type, boot-image origin, network attachment, service account, and scheduling and shielded-VM settings.

Private and public addresses, startup scripts, and general metadata are outside the read scope.

Compare the rollout’s declarations

An optional, explicitly selected metadata key can supply the digest-pinned image a rollout declares for an instance. Another configured metadata item can supply configuration-key names without retaining their values.

Those declarations help a review inspect what the rollout intended. They do not establish which container is running or what configuration a process actually sees.
