Amazon EC2

Give a review the instance type, architecture, and network placement of the machine it targets.

Inspect selected instances

Proofline reads an explicit list of EC2 instances through DescribeInstances. It records instance type and lifecycle state, availability zone, VPC, subnet, security-group identities, architecture, and platform details.

Each instance has its own collection scope. Selection comes from the connection configuration, so the review can identify which machine the evidence describes.

Check assumptions about the host

A container or binary change may assume a different processor architecture. An infrastructure edit may move the instance into another subnet. Instance configuration gives those investigations a provider record to use.

The connector does not inspect application processes, replication lag, or quorum state. When the instance is a registered load-balancer target, the separate target-health source supplies the provider’s health report.

Connect your AWS account

Choose the AWS account and region for the environment under review. Apply the connection’s scoped read-only role, verify access, and check the environment’s evidence coverage.
