AWS Resource Inventory

See which resource types AWS reports among the account’s tagged resources in a region.

Discover the types present in tagged inventory

Proofline uses the read-only Resource Groups Tagging API to collect resource-type names such as lambda:function. It retains the service and type portions of the resource identity.

Resource names, identifiers, configurations, and tags are excluded. The result is a set of observed types that helps you understand the breadth of the environment.

Use the inventory to choose evidence sources

A type appearing in the inventory is a reason to inspect whether the corresponding environment has an appropriate evidence source. It does not provide that service’s configuration by itself.

Untagged resources are absent from this API’s result. A missing type therefore does not establish that the account has no resources of that type.

Connect your AWS account

Choose the AWS account and region for the environment under review. Apply the connection’s scoped read-only role, verify access, and check the environment’s evidence coverage.
